Baby Hip Clinic — infant hip ultrasound and DDH assessment
Baby Hip Clinic is the specialist practice behind the clinical content on this site. It exists for one problem: finding, confirming and treating developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) in babies, early enough that a harness is all that is needed.
What the clinic does
- Newborn and infant hip screening, including babies with breech or family-history risk
- Hip ultrasound with Graf alpha-angle measurement in the first six months
- Hip X-ray assessment for older infants
- Diagnosis and staging of DDH
- Pavlik harness prescription, fitting, strap adjustment and wear-schedule planning
- Follow-up scanning to confirm the hip is reducing, and escalation if it is not
Who leads it
The clinic is led by Dr. Mutasem Aldhoon, pediatric orthopedic consultant, who also reviews every guide published here. Full practice details are at babyhipclinic.com — infant hip ultrasound and DDH assessment.
Should you book an assessment or buy a harness?
A Pavlik harness is a medical device. It should only be worn after imaging has confirmed the diagnosis, and it must be fitted and re-checked by a clinician. If your baby has not yet been scanned, or you have been told the hips are "clicky" but nothing has been confirmed, get the assessment first — start at the clinic, or with your own paediatric service.
If your baby has already been diagnosed and prescribed a harness, and you need the device itself shipped quickly, that is what this store is for.
