Pavlik harness size calculator
Measure your baby's chest circumference and this will tell you which harness size fits. Free, no sign-up, and the full size chart is below.
How to measure the chest
- 1. Lay your baby on their back, calm and in a thin vest or bare-chested.
- 2. Pass a soft tape around the chest at nipple level, under the armpits.
- 3. Keep the tape snug but not tight — you should slide one finger underneath.
- 4. Read the measurement between breaths, and measure twice to be sure.

This is a guide, not a prescription. A Pavlik harness must be fitted and monitored by a clinician after imaging confirms developmental dysplasia of the hip. Book an assessment if your baby has not been scanned yet.
